Upcoming Programs
We have some wonderful programs coming your way, Emmett!
First, join us this Saturday, March 12th from 1:00-3:00 as we present guest speaker and Idaho author, Gretchen Anderson. Gretchen's book, The Backyard Chicken Fight, chronicles people fighting City Hall in various communities for the right to keep chickens, and is also a beginner's guide to keeping chickens. Here in Emmett, an ordinance was passed in 2012 that allows for chicken-keeping within city limits! Ms. Anderson's presentation will be filled with helpful information, whether you already keep chickens, or if you would like to, but have no idea where to begin.
Next, in honor of National Walking Day on April 1st, come to the walking path at the 12th Street ballfield (between Washington and S. Johns) and experience a story walk, featuring the book I Went Walking, by Sue Williams. Pages from the book will be posted along the walk for families to enjoy together all day long from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. From 6-7 PM, experience the Living Story Walk, featuring 4-H projects and friendly family animals! The first 50 families to participate in the walk will receive a copy of I Went Walking!
To register for either program, please use the "Register for a Program" button along the left sidebar of our home page. Hope to see you there!
