Zoning Commission

Commissioner Jeff Wiechmann
Born at Walter Knox Memorial Hospital on December 8th, 1972. It was one of the coldest days in Emmett’s history (22 degrees below zero). I attended Butteview Elementary and Parkview Junior High, even though Parkview was being demolished that year. After moving to Salem Oregon, where I graduated from Charles A Sprague High School, I returned to the treasure valley to attend Boise State University. With a double major in political science and economics, I hoped to be a city planner. Some health issues kept me from finishing my degree, but I was able to complete a full year, full-time internship at the Idaho Dept. of Commerce. My focus there was in small town redevelopment. After 10 years working for others, my brother and I became entrepreneurs in 2009, opening a pub in Meridian. I now am co-owner and co-manager, with my good friend Mike Fry, of The Kitchen Eatery in the great town I am proud to call my home town, Emmett,Idaho.
